The Department of Agriculture, Land Reform, and Rural Development is planning to amend regulations regarding frozen fruit and vegetables and has decided to start the consultation process with stakeholders and other interested parties. An official Government Notice will be published later in the Government Gazette to seek comments from all stakeholders. The Notice will also be shared with all stakeholders when it is published.
The Department would like to request comments or inputs relating to the proposed amendment draft regulations for frozen fruit and frozen vegetables intended for sale in the Republic of South Africa.
Please find attached the proposed amendment draft regulations with changes indicated in blue, as well as the template for comments. All comments may be sent to email: PurityM@dalrrd.gov.za
It would be appreciated if you could peruse the revised draft regulations and submit your comments on the template provided below for comments by no later than the end of the business day on Friday, 30 August 2024.
