As we wrap up our third week of COVID19 lockdown, we bring you some of the very lastest legislation updates, webinar recordings and industry news.
With only two weeks left of lockdown, we start to see some loosening of the restrictions in place, with government allowing for a phasing in of some further essential services. While the food sector is hard at work, the government is reinforcing the message for others to stay home. So remind your friends and family who are not essential services, they can make a difference if they just #stayhome #staysafe #staystrong
IMPORTANT NOTICE
CIPC Certification Process for Essential Services during Extended Lockdown Period Companies, which are registered through the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission's (CIPC) BizPortal to perform essential services during the lockdown period, will be required to have a new certificate from the BizPortal website for the extended period, which begins on 17 April 2020.
So, can supermarkets supply cooked food? During a media briefing by members of the national command council (NCC) in Pretoria on Thursday 16 April, Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma issued the Amended State of National Disaster Regulations, focusing on the extension of the lockdown period to 30 April 2020. DOH recommends the use of face masks Although the cloth face-mask may not be as good as a surgical face-mask in hospital settings, it is a suitable alternative to surgical face-masks for reducing droplet spread in public settings. Hence, they are being recommended for use by the general public to reduce the spread of the Coronavirus.
