Veronica Malapane is a supervisor leading the team responsible for the development, maintenance and promotion of South African National Standards (SANS) in the Chemicals and the Textile Sectors. She has been with the South African Bureau of Standards for 11 years in different roles within the Standardization field. Veronica believes that standardization has many benefits for product manufacturers, users, customers, and traders and believes that by its very definition, standardization is aimed at achieving maximum overall economy. She is well equipped with the processes of developing and maintaining Standards locally, regionally, and on international platforms. She is passionate about standardization and the regulatory framework; standardization may as well be her middle name. |

Thabo Hlongwane is a food safety professional with over 15 years of experience in a quality management environment, ranging from the development and implementation of QMS and conducting QMS training and audits. He is currently employed by SABS as a Standard Development Superior, responsible for facilitating the development of South African National Standards in Food and Health. |
