Our APS Workshop offered the industry a great opportunity to hear directly from the Director of Food Safety & Quality Assurance at DAFF, Mr Billy Makhafola; and the Assignees - Mr. Etienne Booyens from Prokon, Mr. Godfrey Daswa on behalf of Impumelelo Agribusiness Solutions, Mr. Hennie Joubert from the Agency for Food Safety and Mr.Patrick Maphahlele from Nejahmogul.
Rounding off our speaker list, we had Janusz Luterek of Hahn & Hahn giving us the legal perspective and Dr. Harris Steinman from FACTS sharing some fascinating insights into the issue of food fraud and the consumer aspect.
Delegates had the opportunity to discuss their queries and concerns with the panel and the workshop afforded much engagement between stakeholders.
The event was so well received that we have been swamped with requests for another, which has been scheduled for the 23rd August in Johannesburg.
