Invite to PLMA Amsterdam 2020

Wesgro extends an invitation to relevant Western Cape and Cape Town companies to apply to participate at the Private Label Manufacturers Association (PLMA) Exhibition, which is scheduled to take place from 26 – 27 May 2020 in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

 

PLMA is one of the largest international trade shows that brings retailers together with manufacturers to help them find new products, make new contacts, and discover new ideas that will help their private label programmes succeed and grow. Products on display at PLMA Amsterdam include fresh, frozen and refrigerated foods, dry grocery and beverages as well as non-food categories, including cosmetics, health and beauty, household and kitchen, auto aftercare, garden, and housewares & DIY.

As part of this application, we would like to propose use of the dti’s Export Marketing Investment Assistance scheme (see here) which covers amongst others the  following:

 

  • Exhibition space and booth rental costs – up to R50,000.00. Please note that for PLMA Amsterdam, there will be an estimated shortfall of € 1,817 (R29,478) to be paid by your company
  • Freight forwarding of display material – up to R20,000.00
  • Air travel assistance up to up to R17,000.00
  • Daily subsistence allowance of R2,300.00 per day
  • Marketing – up to R7,000.00
  • Transport of Samples – up to R20,000.00

Companies can apply for EMIA funding directly with the DTI, or can utilise the services of CATALYZE to help with their funding submission. Please note that there will be a cost involved should the services of CATALYZE be used in the application process (cost detail included in attached document as well).
