Listeria Class Action

A top Johannesburg based law firm, LHL Attorneys, today launched a proposed class action against Tiger Brands Limited, Enterprise Foods (Pty) Ltd, and RCL Foods Limited, seeking up to half a billion rand in damages for injury and losses associated with the tragic and allegedly preventable listeria outbreak.

The legal documents were issued on the 14 March 2018 out of the Johannesburg High Court and seek to have a class action certified on behalf of those injured due to contracting listeria, as well as those who have lost loved ones due to listeria.

Individuals who contracted listeria or who lost a loved one due to listeria are urged to register themselves for the class action as soon as possible by either;

The 2017-2018 South African listeriosis outbreak has been the worst in recorded history with approximately 1000 confirmed cases of listeria and almost 200 deaths.
