CRC Industries acquires Q20 South Africa

 

CRC Industries Europe BVBA, a subsidiary of CRC Industries Inc, announces the acquisition of Q20 the South-African market leading multipurpose lubricant brand, a subsidiary of the Triton Gloria Investment Proprietary LTD.

 

CRC Industries is a global leader in the production of specialty chemicals for maintenance, repair and operational professionals and do-it-yourself enthusiasts within the automotive, heavy truck, marine, electrical, industrial, hardware and aviation market.

 

Q20 is the clear market leader on the South-African market with many products, including the famous Q20 multipurpose lubricant, Q10, Q Bike, Flight Hand Cleaner, and other DIY related chemicals, manufactured and distributed from their plant in Olifantsfontain, Johannesburg.

 

Through the acquisition of Q20, CRC reinforces its position in South Africa, particularly in the DIY market and incorporates its South-African Industrial Division into one new company : CRC Industries RSA Proprietary Limited.

 

Alongside numerous synergies both brands, Q20 and CRC, will benefit from the increased knowledge and know-how in areas such as R&D, production and distribution. The combined efforts of both companies provide the ideal platform to further develop Q20 and CRC brands into the wider SADC countries.

 

Simon Smith the current Managing Director of Q20, will become the new Managing Director of CRC Industries RSA Proprietary Limited . Louis Munnick, who has been with CRC Industries South Africa for 6 years will remain with the company in the role of Sales Director, and will be integral to the smooth integration of the two organizations going forward. Roy Singh, who has been with Q20 for 39 years, will remain as the Financial Director of CRC Industries RSA.

 

The manufacturing, sales, customer service, distribution and administration offices will remain headquartered in Olifantsfontein, and Simon will report directly to Bruno Hereman, President – CRC Industries Europe.
