Herewith please find an industry dispensation dated 23 January 2019 issued by DAFF: Directorate Food Safety and Quality Assurance. You are hereby requested to forward same to Milk SA levy payers/Sampro members at your earliest convenience.
Notice should be taken of the conditions a - d in the last section of the dispensation. It is understood that it is the intention of DAFF: FSQA to review the current R260/2015 during the course of 2019 due to the amount of dispensations issued since the publication of the regulation, hence the termination date of 31 December 2019. Unless technically not justifiable this review will result into the incorporation of all valid dispensation into the new regulation. As discussed with the office of DAFF, industry will be consulted during the entire process. Should the said date be extended by DAFF, industry will be informed timeously.
